Where Art Meets Functionality: In 2007, Wendy Tillett and Sharon Auclair joined forces to create a unique venture: Dung Beetle Design. Their mission? To blend artistry with practicality. Since its inception, this company has been crafting eco-conscious products, with Wendy’s captivating artwork at the heart of their creations.
Wendy is passionate about the Earth and the environment and has an extreme love and compassion for all creatures, great and small. In particular, Wendy enjoys a relationship with the ocean, both above and below, as a competitive stand-up paddle boarder and lover of all aquatic citizens. Wendy applies this passion not only to the way she moves through life but also to her colorful works – intended to open the eyes of her audience and to make them more sensitive and conscious towards endangered species, the climate crisis, and plastic pollution.
Dung Beetle Design began its journey by transforming second-hand jean jackets into wearable canvases adorned with Wendy’s vibrant imagery. But they didn’t stop there. Their commitment to sustainability led them to explore new horizons. From recycled materials, they fashioned an array of delightful products:
